    Haven't had such a horrible meal in years. Everything about this place is tired. Even the singer was singing the typical tired old music. The a/c was struggling the night we went so it was even more uncomfortable. The warm rolls the prior reviewer raved about were of the frozen blah variety. The minestrone soup was made with mushy vegetables of unknown origin and the soup had an oily film-most likely due to not properly skimming the fat. The veal marsala was the worst I ever ate-with no hint of marsala and an overly floured piece of rubber sitting atop some mess of potatoes and vegetables. This despite asking the waiter if there was any flour on the meat-I guess he thought i was asking if it was breaded-not great for the gluten issues. MY husband ordered a carpaccio which was decent although a bit of acid would have made it more. His grilled mahi mahi was a another mess-being so overly dried out that he left it--something has to be verrry bad for him to leave it. the only reason we didn't walk out was because we came with company and we were starving. The waiter was completely oblivious and we actually had to yell across the restaurant to get water. What a colossal waste of money.

    I was not able to actually eat any food during my 45 minute visit. Here we go: After 15 minutes we were served water (no bread). After another 15 minutes we were brought an unopened bottle of wine, but no wine glasses (still no bread). After 10 minutes we were told they had no wine glasses to serve the wine in (still no bread). Thus we walked out. There were 2 waiters working a total of 20 tables, including our party of 25, so we figured it would be best if we left so that at least some people would be served. I watched 2 managers supervising, but not offering any help to the staff. Next time, don't bother sitting tables you can't serve. Now you've got a bunch of bad reviews as opposed to no reviews.

    This is the restaurant referred to in my Marenas "resort" review. We arrived at 5:40pm the sign says they open at 5pm; doors are locked; patio door open we walk in the server says we're not open until 5:30pm, we explain it's 5:40, he says I know the sign is wrong, take a seat where ever you like. Service is OK. I got the skirt steak not bad, 've had better. My husband liked is his pasta. My son got some ginormous fried cheese triangles. We forgot our hats and my husband picked them up the next day at which time the bartender made some comment about "I was going to tell the waiter you've got your period these hats will work for you." Nice. Because I wear a hat I must be menstruating! They have a lovely parking lot patio view as well like all the other mediocre restaurants in Sunny Isles Beach FL. If you're from Chicago don't look forward to the food in Florida.

    Horrible service! I went with a group of 4 and we were all expecting a delicious Italian dinner. The live music was extremely loud, the food was below average and the service was horrible! Worst part, I used a resturant.com coupon so I HAD to give our server a 18% tip. NEVER GOING AGAIN!

    While visiting the area we decided to try La Terrazza. Bad mistake! While the food was not completely horrible (hence the 2* rating), the service was among the worst we've ever experienced. From the time we walked in until the time we left the service was just awful. Do yourself a favor and pick a different Italian restaurant.

    This place was terrible ...... Waited 45 minutes for wine,....Then no wine glasses????? The waiter was complaining about being understaffed.... I decided to leave.... Ate next door @ Beach club which was actually great!

    This had to be one of the worst meals I have ever had. I had the veal marsala, it was like eating rubber bands. Vegetables were cold. Dinner rolls were excellent. Very pricey. You would be better off going to KFC next door.

    Went here on a wed night. Place was empty except a few people outside. The appetizer we ordered was a portobella stuffed with goat cheese over spinach. My wife and I both thought it was delicious and the highlight of the meal. I ordered a pizza and my wife got penne a la vodka with shrimp. We both thought our dishes were pretty good. I didn't really want pizza but their menu is so boring I really didn't have a choice. The special was a veal chop Parmesan which I thought was a complete waste of a veal chop (and a $45 one at that). The wine by the glass was terrible and as it turns out, $9 per. We both felt there were too many other restaurants in the neighborhood to try before we would consider coming back.

    The family and I went here and the food was nothing to write home about. The bread was burned but they did bring as much as we wanted. The seafood stew dish I had had funky tasting clams and muscles and again came with a few slices of burned bread. I wouldn't go back here with the other options in the area.

    I come here to have dinner occasionally. You never know: sometimes they are really excellent, and other times they disappoint. For example I really wanted my friend to try my favorite appetizer, a portobella stuffed with goat cheese over spinach, but it was served without goat cheese. I sent it back, and when it came back, there was goat cheese but the whole thing was over salted. I'll give them three stars and I want them to be more consistently good please. The place has a wonderful location, good energy and for me, pleasant memories of getting together with family and friends.

    OMG SOOO BAD! If there was a way to give a below zero rating i would do it! I have never been treated so bad and eaten even worst in my life! It feels like they are trying to rip you off from the first moment you walk in: the manager, or whoever he was, pushed us in offering a bottle of wine since (he said) we were a nice group....and us, like a bunch of stupids (that's exactly how i felt later), we fell in the trap and dined with them....OMG!!! THE FOOD WAS UNEATABLE: all of the people at our table didn't like them at all and some of them even returned their dishes....i was too hungry to do that....anyhow just to mention those dishes: marsala chicken (like if you were drinking a glass of marsala with oil)! Veal Piazzaiola was returned, grilled skirt steak (how can you go wrong with that!?) was so chewy that my friend left the half of it! i do not remember that other plates but anyhow.....BLAHHHHH!!! STAY AWAY

    If you are a fresher here - get the Veal! Food is pretty good - mushrooms, chicken, and roast duck all taste pretty fine. The soufflés with various fruity flavors and coffee dusted Tiramisu is good too. The ambience is catchy with the cushioned lounge outside. The only complaint is the variety - for a high end Italian place I'd expect more exciting and authentic Italian cuisines to pick from.

    Went on a Wed eve. with a group, very nice atmosphere. The waiter was interesting- I think he may have been using a fake peruvian accent(that made it more fun). Ordered their Penne Harry's Bar- spinach, sun-dried tomatoes over a nice light sauce. The cocktails that everyone ordered were well made. I also tried the Fillet which was succulent. For dessert, our table ordered a variety to share: 2 different sorbets, cheesecake, tiramisu, another chocolate concoction that was really good. This is somewhere I would definitely recommend for a date, or group. I know I will be back ohh soo yummy. *** 01/09/2008

    This has to be the WORST Italian cuisine, service and dining experience ever! If only zero was offered as a rating option, this would be my review. Our server was unattentive and cold as we continually had to flag him for any kind of service needed. He failed to mention the evening's specials and overheard it from another table. The only enjoyable dish was the salmon carpaccio, but everything else was a huge disappointment. My husband's lamb shank dish with risotto was overly salty which would pop anyone's eyeballs right out. My veal dish portion was all about quantity and not quality. It was huge and the veal was smothered with an excess of cheese. One won't be able to tell what was hidden underneath. The steamed veggies were also overdone. The dish was comparable to Olive Garden's quality but costs 3X more. Our waiter didn't show any concern whatsoever on the lamb dish when we mentioned that it was too salty. A reputable restaurant would offer some type of comp, but not here. My dish came to a steep $37 and our total bill including the mandatory $25 restaurant.com tax was still a whopping $86 without beverages! Sadly, the tip was guaranteed for our lousy waiter but was very undeserving. At the very least, do yourself a favor and purchase a restaurant.com gift certificate if you opt to dine here. And, If you're seeking a pretentious, overpriced, unattentive wait staff with less than average cuisine, this is your place!

    If this program let me give 4 and 1/2 stars, I would. My only reservation is that some dishes may be salty for my taste, usually the cheese based dishes. I've been here several times and I know I'll be back. The waiters are all very good, very attentive. They consistently make sure to bring you WARM bread (twice) and fill up your water, tea, or drinks. Our waiter recently noticed I was looking around and probably knew I was looking for the bathroom and came and showed me the way. Who does that?? They also seem to know multiple languages!! It's family friendly, and each time I go here I see parents with tweens or teenage kids there. It's the kind of place you'd take your mom to, if she were in town. :) I've also noticed that even on busy nights, your service is not skimped on because they have enough waiters on hand to handle crowds. The pastas dishes are consistently superb, and please have the lamb dish special if you can. They fire roast it for FOUR hours and then bake it with a mushroom sauce. OMG. You don't even need a knife to cut it, since it slides off into your fork! Apparently they only make a limited number of this dish per day. There's a nice wine selection, and plenty of soups and salads if you're in the mood for grazing. The fruit ice cream desserts come in their own shells (orange peel shell, coconut shell). There's outdoor seating where you can enjoy the wonderful sea air, or indoor seating where you can enjoy looking at the wood-fired oven (no joke!).

    only reason this got 2 stars was because the bartender Anthony from Staten Island was fantastic. the food was fair to average but when i get a wine menu and open it up to 5 baby cockroaches running about, that gets you dropped to the bottom of the list. lets hope the kitchen is cleaner than the front of the house.

    I went here with a friend on a Sunday evening. We decided to sit outdoors, and the area was pretty nice. The ground in the outdoor seating area is slightly slanted, which made the table wobble a bit, but nothing to the point that made the cups tilt over or anything. We ordered the walnut and gorgonzola salad which we shared, and they brought out 2 plates with 3 romaine lettuce leaves on each plate, sprinkled with crushed walnuts and gorgonzola, drizzled with raspberry dressing. My friend and I were expecting something a little more substantial for this salad, and we thought that the walnuts were supposed to be roasted. The gorgonzola was a bit on the excessive side, so that is mostly what we tasted. We also ordered 2 pizzas: one had zucchini (and something else but I forgot) with tomato sauce on it, and the other was a white pizza with prosciutto on it. They both came with fresh arugula on top of the pizza, and we were both thinking, "oh here's the rest of the salad!" The pizzas were pretty good in my opinion. It was fresh, light, and the crust was thin but not too crispy or dry, which is how I like it. I had no complaints about the pizzas, except that they cut the pizza and THEN added the prosciutto slices on top, so we had a hard time cutting the prosciutto onto the individual slices. Our server was nice, but we waited about 20 minutes to get our check at the end of our meal. Be careful when asking for water...we asked for water and he brought it out in a bottle which cost $6. The pizzas were around $12-$13 each, and the salad was, if I remember correctly, $9. I think I'd actually give this place a 3.75 stars if I could (I don't mean to be too picky) but 4 will do.

    We are visiting from minneapolis. The rain had us looking for something to do indoors with 3 of our children 8years old-14. After taking in a new movie we ventured out for a late meal and happened upon LaTerrazza at 9pm on a Sunday night. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were all hungry and started with the calamari and the mozzerella cheese. These were not that great. The calamari was mostly breading and the cheese was pretty oily. The meals we ordered were excepional. I ordered the skirt steak, which was wonderful served with greenbeans that were the best. Our boys ordered the alfredo and the shrimp with risitto. These are boys that love olive garden and rarely like other Italian. They loved their food, I was surprised to find that they finished it all and the youngest even shared some of my steak. Our daughter had the spagetti with meat sauce which she loved. My husband had the salmon which he had thought was great and was pleased with the portion of vegetables srved with it. The only bad point was that they do not offer free refills on the softdrinks, it would have been nice if our waiter mentioned that before we ordered them. Our bill for all 5 of us came to about $160 before the tip. We felt That the food was definately worth it. We were full enough and did not order desert. It had been a long rainy day and we were tired so it was great that we were able to eat and be on our way in less than 90 min.

    Went here with family....... calamari was sent back. Drink was ten bucks and weak. Service way below par. Can SOMEONE refill my driiiiiiiiiink??? The best was at the end of it all, the waiter said the card machine was off and could we pay cash (so he could steal it) When I said no, he magically was able to make it work. Ughh

    I have come here with my husband and family numerous times and I am always pleased! They have delicious pizza, really good pasta and the chocolate mouse is sooooo good! I do think they are a bit pricey and the parking situation is annoying since they are in a common shopping plaza but besides that they are definitely good.

    This is a relatively small, family owned restaurant where you will feel welcome and relaxed while dinning on some delicious home made Italian food. The menu is rather extensive; you can order just a pizza (there are several kinds) or dine on sumptuous veal saltimbocca, as well as, other Italian favorites. There is soft music in the backgorund from some of the oldie Italina crooners and your server will undoubtedly be attentive. The bill will be most reasonable. This is perhaps one of the best neighborhood restaurants around. Give them a try...you won't be disappointed.

    This has to be the worst Italian food I've ever had in my life in the history of food, Italians and all lives everywhere for eternity. I'm not even sure you can call it Italian food. We ordered an arugula salad that had wilted leaves and clearly visibly old cucumbers. We also ordered some basic Italian dishes that were clearly served with boiled Chinese food style chicken but that's not even the strangest part. The dishes were served with with canned pickled red cabbage and some marinated carrots and broccoli. I ordered a chicken parm and got burnt Chinese chicken and broccoli with marinara sauce on the side and some boiled potatoes. Also very strange. (See photo.) To make matters even worse, we waited way too long for the food in a mostly empty restaurant. Everyone was very nice but it was probably because they didn't know how to react to our looks of horror. We didn't really complain too much because we were in shock but thinking back now, this was some pricey Chinese food and marinara sauce. Because they were so nice, I'm begging them to go to Olive Garden and try some real fake Italian food or hire some kid out of culinary school that knows how to grill chicken and make a few dishes. Until then, avoid this place at all costs. Run into the street into oncoming cars if you have to so you do not walk by too close and be conned into eating food this bad. We went to Burger King a few steps away and downed some Whoppers to kill the taste of the few bites of Chi'talian we had. On a side note, we ordered take out from the pizzeria a few doors down and it was good. At the very least Italian.

    I once came here some time ago on a date, and must have been quite smitten with the man, as I did not notice how mediocre the food was and when I saw that the Russian restaurant (my first choice) that was supposed to be around this shopping plaza went out of business, I decided to go for that which I was familiar with. Bad mistake. Service was good, but the establishment smelled like Febreeze (for the record, when I came last time, I ate outdoors so I would not have known). It made me wonder what odor they were masking. A filthy carpet? Dogs, perhaps? That alone was a bad sign but I tried to get accustomed to the off-putting odor. My friend and I ordered a Caesar salad to share as an appetizer since the complimentary bread was not the best. The good thing about the salad was that it had a decent amount of cheese and the portion was generous, but the dressing had this slightly sweet flavor to it. It didn't taste homemade, but commercial, which is a turn-off when you go to a restaurant. If I wanted commercial dressing, I'd go to Publix, buy a bottle and buy some salad, and I'd make it at home. My friend ordered the veal (Scaloppine di Vitello al Limon) and I ordered Chicken Marsala, something that cannot be screwed up considering even Cheesecake Factory, a chain restaurant, does a decent job...or can it? It was quite greasy (you can see the bubbling grease in the close-up photo I posted, not only on the mushrooms but on the parsley and the breast), and for some ungodly reason, it came with zucchini, and pickled cabbage (pickled cabbage being traditional to Middle Eastern cooking, not Italian). Hmmm...okay....I suddenly felt like Gordon Ramsey would have a fit because there was too much going on in this dish. There was not a hint of marsala wine, which is a brown wine reduction, in my meal, and too many random ingredients, as mentioned above. To make things worse, my friend's sauce in the gravy boat was the same as mine...even though he did not order anything that would contain "marsala", so that made no sense. We were truly baffled, and disappointed. The sauce they provided was very greasy and yellow, I can only assume it was melted butter with chunks of mushrooms and parsley. The potato came with no butter, salt, or sour cream either, nor was any offered. I got fed up of my meal and left a portion behind. My friend did as well, noting that the veal had a grey tinge and looked like dog food, and not at all appetizing. To make matters worse, being in ritzy Sunny Isles, there's a mandatory 18% gratuity. Below-average meal, expensive food and expensive tip, all of which left us unsatisfied, makes this an overall putrid experience not worthy of repeating. Like I said, I must have been smitten and blinded by love during that date the first time to not have realized that this is one of the worst "Italian" restaurants in the area. The funny thing is, my friend had been here before as well and did not recall such an unsatisfying meal, new management perhaps? Regardless, steer clear; they make Olive Garden look like a 5-star restaurant.

    This place was convenient to my hotel and I saw reviews by fellow yelpers. Knew it was not going to be great. Nothing was bad and nothing was memorable. The service was very good. The best part of the night was half price wines on Monday nights. Some good values at 50% off. The meal: Bread basket- very good bread from the brick oven Pizza- How do you not have a crisp bottom and crust from the brick oven? Decent flavor but way too soft. Gnocchi- Good red sauce. Poor pasta. Cold seafood salad- Very average and not much seafood. Mainly salad that was way overdressed. Prices were on the high side but most of the portions at the table were pretty substantial.

    We definitely won't be going back here. It started off kind of strange when they brought us some burnt bread with cold tomato sauce to dip in. My son ordered a plain pizza which was delivered almost raw. When we asked the waiter to fix it he picked up the pizza tray and attached to the bottom was a piece of gum which stretched over and on my sons shoulder. When we complained to the waiter about the issue he told us he would go talk to "them." He came back to let us know that he was sorry but no one on the staff was chewing gum! Not happy with this answer, I asked for the manager and the waiter said he was the manager. And again, he apologizes. Then, the replacement pizza came out burnt. My son ended up eating a whopper for dinner that night. Only after I got loud to our waiter/manager did he finally remove the pizza from the bill. If you're in this area and looking for Italian food, there is an excellent place across the street called Azzurro. It's kind of hard to find and attached to a crummy looking hotel, but you'll be MUCH better off.

    I was in town for business from NYC for a few days and this restaurant was right across the street and looked cute a friend recommended it I had low expectations the ambience was decent and the service and staff were extremely friendly unfortunately the food was a major disappointment The lemon chicken was the quality of a pizzeria Served with Asian? Vegetables! But the worst was the uncle bens rice!!!! C'mon Rice is cheap enough, by jasmine for 10 cents more a pound or basmati

    Soda was completely flat. Be careful when ordering drinks. Very expensive. My cognac was 15 dollars and was barely a drop and my wife's drink was 13 dollars. Kids pasta was good and plentiful but our adult antipasto platter was small. Service was just o.k.

    Can't believe this place. I ordered the ravioli terraza last night and the sauce was very good but the seafood filling was too fishy. when I mentioned the strong flavor to the sever he was so obnoxious and said " well the ravioli is stuffed with seafood, seafood tastes like fish." really? So this scientific, culinary and seafood expert forgot about the fact that old seafood tastes really bad. He didn't apologize and just took the plate off the table. My friend was ok with his order. I had a great company which was the only reason why we stayed to try the dessert. We had the chocolate cake, and this really deserves the 5 stars, just like the beautiful setting specially outside; but the slacking service doesn't do the restaurant any good. We didn't asked for the check. But julian was in a hurry to finish his shift, and event worst the tip was included. First and last time I visit this place. I you dare to go make sure is not a date, and also ask for a different server.

    Decent food... The ciopino is NOT how I am used to it. Tasted good, but felt like a half-hearted attempt at the REAL stuff. Think marinara sauce and a few pieces of shrimp and muscles. Service, unfortunately, IS what others have described, and that is LACKLUSTER. Waited at LEAST ten minutes after our food was finished for someone to even acknowledge us. Again, the food tastes good, but not what I am used to when I think of a traditional Italian Food Restaurant (or Ristorante). If you don't care much about service and have time to kill, by all means...

    This restaurant is such a gem! The atmosphere is so romantic and relaxed. We had steaks and seafood and all three dishes were amazing. My friend'a son ordered pizza, we all tried it and it was one of the best pizzas we had. The service is timely and courteous, I'm not sure what other reviewers were complaining about, maybe the place had different owners before, but now everything is absolutely great. The owner came by our table to make sure we had everything we needed, that was very nice. Bottom line - definitely come check it out if you're in the area, you will not be disappointed!

    My bf and I ate here on vacation, expecting a nice italian meal, but I would've much preferred the Olive Garden. (No dis on the OG either!!) Where to begin... First, it's really expensive! We were willing to overlook this since we thought we'd be getting authentic italian cuisine. I got mussels in red sauce and the sauce was way too salty! I LOVE marinara sauce and I'm usually not too picky about salt, but this was mouth puckering salty. (When I don't clean my plate of marinara sauce, there's a problem.) My bf got penne in vodka sauce and that sauce seemed okay - nothing special. We each got a $10 side salad and the House balsamic dressing on that was way too tart too! I think it chapped my lips. Also, the portion were pretty small. The atmosphere was OK. We sat on the back patio - that was cute. They had "live music" which was literally a guy singing lyrics off a laptop. He was a good singer, but really, if I'm going to be listening to someone kareoke, we should all get a chance to sing, am I right?? Our server was TERRIBLE. The service was extremely slow and the restaurant was by no means crowded. Our server barely spoke to us and when we said we were finished (i.e. no dessert and/or coffee) he just completely ignored us! Everyone around us had gotten their checks and left and we were still sitting there! Finally, we flagged him down and he acted surprised that we wanted our check.... it was strange. Oh yeah, also my bf got really sick a couple hours later and was throwing up... A LOT. Not saying it was from this food, but we're not sure what it was from. (No, it wasn't from alcohol - we didn't drink that night!) I'm usually willing to give places a second chance, but judging from the overpriced and underwhelming food here, I'd def suggest saving your time and going somewhere else.

    Much of the problem with this restaurant seemed to be due to the waiter with an attitude. When we sat down he asked what we want to drink and we all said ice water with lemon on the side. He brought us a bottle of water which surprised us. Since it was an Italian restaurant we thought they might serve water in a bottle similar to restaurants in parts of Europe. However, we soon noticed other people with pitchers off ice water. Already we thought the waiter was playing games. The food we ordered was good (not great) but we enjoyed the meal. The check came with a charge for the water and tip included. The second time we went the same waiter served us. He took the order and we never saw him again. Unfortunately they will never see us again. And that's the best tip I can give anyone. Eat somewhere else. There are lots of good restaurants in Sunny Isles Beach.

    Wow! What a disappointment. I was in town for a sales meeting across the street. I should have known better when there was no one in the restaurant. We sat down and the waiters were not very friendly. They seemed pissed off we were there. I ordered a Blue Moon with an orange slice. "We do not have oranges". What? A restaurant without oranges? In Florida?!? The food was very salty. I had the skirt steak special. It wasn't so special. It was overcooked, Tony Roma's next door was a thousand times better at half the price.

    Went tonight for dinner - early at 5p. We were only the 2nd table but by the time we left, it was starting to fill up. I really loved our dinners. I had Chicken Marsala and it was plated with green beans, sweet potato puree and some zucchini, etc. I had a lot of chicken. All homemade tasting and not over cooked/pre-cooked dinners. My husband and son ordered Chicken Parm and my daughter had Penne Vodka. I had 2 glasses of wine and the bill came to $176 including 18% gratuity. I loved the food so I overlooked the waiter not coming to check on us (my husband had to request a round of drinks. We also had an issue with the diet coke - tasted like a lot of syrup and not enough seltzer but the server said it was changed 2 days ago....we knew something was off and ordered different drinks. You would think that the waiter would have just given my husband and daughter the new drinks for free but he charged them for the bad diet cokes and then for lemonade and a shirley temple....that bothered me but again, the food was good and I let that slide). When we walked out, we started talking to a French gentleman who was so very nice. He told us he just learned English 3 months ago. He then told us he is the new owner from 4 months ago. So I'm thinking that the past bad reviews were aimed at the former owners/establishment. When we are back in town, I will definitely go back again. I'm a fan, for sure!

    Thank goodness for the restaurant.com gift certificate because I'd probably be even more disappointed with La Terrazza if I didn't have a $25 discount on our dinner. I went here with a friend of mine for a girls night dinner. It took a while to be seated. There was a hostess stand, but no hostess. A waiter came up to us and told us to sit anywhere after several minutes. Service was slow for most of the dinner. I got a 4-cheese pasta dish with chicken for around $20 (no soup/salad included with that) and it was definitely overpriced for what it was. My friend's dish was around the same price, but lacked flavor. We waited about 15 minutes for the waiter to check on us after our food came out and she asked if there was any kind of sauce he could bring out to add flavor and he said the only one he could bring without a charge was the marinara. Well, that was bland as well. The bread they brought to the table was probably the best thing we had. While my meal was flavorful, it wasn't anything special, and our impression was that this place needs the restaurant.com certificates to stay in business. With the discount, we each paid around $15 for dinner including tip, so that was a deal, but for the quality and quantity of our meals it is actually more of a fair price than a bargain.

    I was in a hurry so I ordered some penne with vodka sauce to eat at home got home 2 min later realized my food was like warm and I got it that way got home to eat and it had no flavor absolutely no salt or seasoning had to season it myself had too much oil and overall a 6 year old could have made better pasta than this so called authentic Italian food. Do not recommend it.

    Slow service, server with attitude, restaurant belongs to a few discount rewards programs but it's not good. The quality of the food was mediocre. Overall not a good experience, if you're on Collins ave, go to Timos instead you won't regret it!

    My husband and I live in Sunny Isles and pass by this restaurant all the time saying that we should try it; however, saw that it only had 3 stars so we didn't have high expectations but like to reserve our own judgement. So I bought a discounted gift certificate from Restaurant.com and I'm glad we went. It was early so we were the first ones there and sat outside it was a gorgeous night. I showed the gift certificate to the waiter and he said no problem, which was great and he was very attentive and gave us great service throughout the night. The atmosphere is relaxed and chill, the meals are made from scratch so if you are looking for a quick in and out meal, this isn't the place. If you want to sit, enjoy the atmosphere and your company than I definitely suggest it. They brought out warm rolls straight from the oven which my husband loved. I'm a gluten-free vegan so I didn't eat them but they smelled delicious. So being gluten-free and vegan makes dining out more challenging but they were up for the challenge. The waiter was great in helping me, I got the arugula salad and they made me grilled vegetables that was plated beautifully and was delicious. My husband got the special which was a seafood fra diavolo and he raved about it. Said it was the best he's ever had, the portion was huge and had these large prawns that looked like mini lobsters and he said they tasted sweet like lobster and said it had just the right about of heat not overpowering. My husband LOVES Crème Brûlée so of course he ordered it and said it was the best he ever had. So I HAD to try it and I would have to agree. I don't make exceptions on my eating lifestyle very often and I have to say it was definitely worth taking a taste it was perfect, the texture, the temperature and the taste were delicious we'll definitely be back again!

    Bland and overpriced. When we came in through the door we were not seated, but instead told to pick our own seats. We sat outside and I had to change my chair because the cushion had a gross stain on it. The menu was not that exciting and the prices were so damn high. Our waiter was really nice, however, and told us about the specials and checked in on us constantly. However, the food was not great- the calamari was bland as was the marinara sauce, the lobster ravioli were not too delicious either (the plate came with 4 of them and I only ate 2), the salad was DRENCHED in vinegar, so much that my mouth puckered up tighter than an asshole. They had live music which was nice at first, but turned out to be an annoyance because it made it hard to talk without having to scream over the singing to hear each other. I saw a couple sit down, look at the menu, and walk out. I don't know if they were turned off by the prices or the lack of variety on the menu, but I wish I left with them. This is the first time I had food left over on my plate that I did not want to take home with me.

    WARNING - Don't get even close to !!! They overcharged me for a dish. Spaghetti with seafood was listed at 22.95 but they billed me 48.95 I refused to pay such amount and the restaurant owner called the police. Agents asked me to pay in full ( including 18% tip ) or I would be arrested. On top of it, the pasta was awful, we did not get any bread, service was very slow, I had to walk around to look for the waitress and ask her close my check.

    My wife said she had a coupon for this dump and insisted we go. I have passed it hundreds of times and didn't like the look of it perched almost directly upon a major thoroughfare, but today we went inside. It was a dreadful mistake. They were a little too effusive when we entered and that gives me a chill ordinarily. I got this, "Hey sucker, come in and eat quick and get out just as fast if you are not staying around for very expensive drinks." The waiter was French, he said from Paris, but I thought Quebec. He was in a big hurry to push the very special specials, and I went along for the ride. We ordered sparkling water instead of wine because each table had a bottle of not very well selected wine on it and I really hate getting nudged into cheap wine. The waiter returned rather slowly with something I didn't know and which turned out to be flat. I sent it back and he said, "We have nussining wit gaz." The four other tables were not ordering wine either, so I asked for tap water. It was very slow in coming. OK, time for an appetizer; I had their scallops something or other which were small, tasteless guys wrapped in bacon. They were not only lousy scallops but twice the price that any $$$ restaurant would charge.Then we both tried their fish special which was just dreadful. I can't even describe this mess to you properly. It had ice cold shreds of melon on top of the unknown fish fillet which was ploped on some icky sweet yellow sauce with giant carrot slices in it. I was so disgusted with the food I don't recall the desert, but it was not memorable. Finally, the server brought the check, WOW $45.00 for the fish mess. What more can I say about this ripoff joint. Forgetaboutit!!!

    Last night, sitting outside on a warm summer night , with the ceiling fans humming, a nice crowd present , you really appreciate what we have here in SF and I was once again dinning at LA TERRAZZA , Italian Cuisine at it's finest. Nice Combination and a must go. The langostino linguine, lobster ravioli, steamed mussels, very fresh tomato salad, some vinos , the limoncello frappe ,chocolate mouse. A slam dunk completed the meal with what else but a sambucca. (Smily Face) All Good Folks !! I have been going to La Terrazza for years. I am always well received , the team is profesional , knowledgeable and very sharp. I have no problem recommending this really good restaurant to all. Italian restaiurants are plentiful in South Florida, all with distinct flavor and charm. La Terrazza is well located, the place is inviting, reception is cordial, the service superb, and the food is the BEST in the area.

    I ate here several months ago and although I can't remember what I ate exactly, I remember how high the bill was! The one thing I do remember was the caprese. It was like someone handed me a whole tomato and a block of cheese and expected me to eat it. I mean geez, slice the tomato and cheese a little thinner next time, ok? My wife had some chicken primavera or something like that, but she wasn't impressed either.

    Walked out after a sitting for ten minutes without being approached by anyone. Outside we met a couple who said not only was the service terrible, but so was the food, and we were smart to walk out.
